September 2025 Blog: Happy Anniversary!
Whoosh — did another month just fly past us, or was that a tornado disguised as September?
We kicked things off with another fantastic year at the Luzerne County Fair from September 3rd through the 7th. As always, the people did not disappoint — colorful, quirky, and unforgettable! I even snagged a photo with “Leo,” the Lions Club of Plains mascot, who was busy encouraging kids to get their eyes checked to prevent blindness. (How often do you get hugged by a lion for a good cause?)
Speaking of things flying by… September went so fast we almost missed a major milestone: 🎉Crystalyn’s Creative Attic officially turned 3 years old on September 16th! 🎉
How did we celebrate this big achievement? By both getting sick at the exact same time. Yep. We rang in our anniversary with cough drops and pajamas instead of confetti. Terrific, right?
Don’t worry — we’re both feeling better now, and we fully intend to celebrate next month… with actual cake and zero tissues. Promise!
But that wasn’t the only anniversary worth cheering about. On September 28th, Crystalyn and Eric celebrated 23 years of marriage! Twenty-three years! I remember that wedding like it was yesterday. My husband practically took over the event — at certain moments, you’d swear he was the one walking down the aisle. Actually, he did…as the Father of the Bride! The celebration lasted three full days, and it took us ( the parents) at least a week to recover. And you know what? Totally worth it — people still talk about it to this day.
Now that September is wrapping up, I’m excited to see what God has in store for next month. For starters, not only are we celebrating the brave women affected by Cancer with our 2nd annual “Unstoppable Women for BCA” Fundraiser, but Tiffany (my eldest granddaughter) and Carlos are getting married! So you know there’s going to be another story coming.
Keep your eyes open for our new BCA products, raffle basket, and fundraiser news the first week of October!
Remember that a portion of all proceeds goes directly to help women affected by Breast Cancer in Pennsylvania & we are hoping to surpass last year's donation!
Until then, thank you — truly — for being part of this journey with us.
