Happy Valentine’s Day!
Love is in the Air!
Even before February comes, there are signs that Valentine’s Day is coming. What a great time of year! A festive feel seems to surround this holiday. During this time, the weather may be colder, but the atmosphere seems a little warmer, inviting people to pause from their busy lives to express their love, appreciation, and gratitude towards others.
Giving a Valentine’s gift doesn’t have to be about romance. It is widely celebrated as a day of friendship. It is a great opportunity to show the people in your life just how much you care.
There are so many reminders to keep us focused on that day. I bet if I asked you, you could recall some funny and/or amusing stories about your experiences with Valentine’s Day!
I would like to share one of my own stories with you, and what a lovely day February 14 was for me!
For some reason, my husband seemed to have a mental block about when exactly our anniversary was in February. The day would pass right by before he even gave it a thought, until he started seeing advertisements for Valentine’s Day. By that time, he knew he blew it …again! No worries! He always made up for it in the most extraordinary ways! I never got angry. In fact, I started to enjoy the “making up” more than when he remembered our anniversary. I used to love to imagine what he would come up with the next time!
Allow me to share with you even more imaginative and creative ways to say, “I love you.”
