#2 - Our First Month

#2 - Our First Month

  Our First Month
October
written: 10/14/22

As I think about how to start this post, it’s hard to believe it has only been a month… twenty-eight days to be exact, but who’s counting?

I have not stayed up this late (one, two o’clock in the morning for several days) in a long, long time.  It seemed as if there wasn’t enough time in a day to accomplish everything we wanted.  It was both exhausting and exhilarating at the same time.  How grateful I am that I had the stamina to survive it, as a 70+ year old person!

My daughter, Crystalyn, had the burden of setting up the website, adding and eliminating products, and addressing all the hiccups.

I had, and continue to have, the awesome fun of helping her to stay focused, while throwing out ideas and suggestions to enhance the site. Ideas would be flying from both directions and it was a little challenging to write everything down.

I am most grateful for all those who have come to our rescue helping us get it right.  There have been quite a few adjustments to the website design and applications we used, to try to make it more “user-friendly” for our customers to navigate the site.

We sometimes wondered if the tasks of adding, subtracting, and adjusting items to the website would ever end. We have been told by experts in the field of website design, that  ‘it is an ongoing process and to get used to it’. “You will always be tweaking it.”

We have been very happy with the overall response to our products.  Our desire is to keep it interactive, and we are pleased to have received extremely valuable suggestions which we have implemented on the site with tremendous results. We have added several new “Collections”. With our VIPs feedback, we have been able to improve by leaps and bounds.  A “shout-out” to all those who contributed their time, ideas and constructive comments to our “Creative Attic”.

We started our first season with Fall. We are also excited that we were able to introduce new products every day to our site. We have received a lot of positive praise for our Heart of the Home collection, especially the Multi-purpose Handmade Scrubbies.

There’s been a lot of interest in our original Halloween images created by my grandson, Sean. Also, a lot of interest and positive feedback in the new “Whispers” Collection featuring the “Kindness” t-shirt designed by my daughter, Crystalyn. We were able to begin introducing the Rob’s Art Collection featuring works by my late husband, Robert J. Innella.

We are looking forward to the Winter and Christmas season!

If you are able, come and see for yourselves what we are offering. We’d be thrilled to meet you!

A “Live” show is coming on Saturday, November 19, 2022, “Bazaar and Craft Fair” at the West Milford Presbyterian Church from 10am to 4pm (1452 Union Valley Road, West Milford, NJ 07480).

Another “Live” show will be on Saturday, December 3, 2022, “The 2022 Holiday Craft Fair” at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church in Hewitt, NJ from 10am to 4pm (1911 Union Valley Road, Hewitt, NJ 07421).

Both exhibits feature items that are only available at the “Live” shows.

We have come a long way with our Facebook page (https://fb.me/CCA.RA.Creative.Attic).  As a primary source of interacting with our customers, it is updated regularly, and where we introduced our “Freebie Fridays”, exclusive to our VIP group.

So excited for you to share in our next steps on our journey! Stay tuned, it’s going to be Spectacular! 😃
